Greetings from Atlanta!
What better way to start a blog then with the font that represents my new Everest? Georgia font, yes please!
First blog, first real southern exploration and first full-time volunteer experience all in one convenient blog to be read by old friends and new friends yet to be made.
Boarding the plane its easy to see why the South can be a huge change, y'alls are handed out left and right as I walk into my seat. Soon as we land its definitely a now or never moment. Heat with humidity. Blah! Tired faced I walked over to baggage claim, claimed my overly packed luggage, then headed over to my smiling housemates. Jenna, from Georgia state herself with education from Old Miss and having traveled through New York. Then there is Julia, fresh faces collage graduate from Chattanooga, TN. New life is about to start!
Heading into our new shared space, our home is stunning, old southern charm sparkling in the moonlight. I love it. Happily I climb the 20 plus steps to our new front door, only to remember I have packed about half-a-ton of gunk, clothes, etc. that need to be shimmied and pushed up those stairs. Home, at least for the next 11 months. I've signed on to be a full-time volunteer, part of the Episcopalian Church of Atlanta- All Saint's, part of AmeriCorps, part crazy and part exciting/liberation/borderline poverty. Exciting!
And so the adventure begins!- end of day 0.5.

Out of the Cali bubble and living life Southern-style! I love it!!! Miss you like CRAZY! But I know you are exactly where you are supposed to be! Being fabulous you! YAY!!!! :)
